I t makes you realize that maybe some of those nice things should have been said while you worked there. (Maybe they were.) When I left my job at the end of July, people told me things that I wished they would have said earlier because it would have made working together all the nicer. And I wished I would have been more "open" and told people how much I appreciated and valued them as co-workers and friends. I t kind of opened up my eyes.
Awwwwwwww...isn't that the BEST feeling? I once sat in a conference room and SOBBED as I told my CEO I had accepted another position with another company. The CFO threatened to lie under my truck if I really left for good. That was over two years ago and I am still working with both of them - just in a slightly different role.
There is nothing better than loving your work and the people you work with.
I'm glad you've had such a great response - but it doesn't surprise me. If you're even 1/10 as wonderful to work with as you are to know through your blog, then they're lucky to have worked with you. Nice to feel loved and appreciated. I'm sure you'll be missed! *hugs*
