POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME

Just a quickie. I got my very first dessert pizza from Donato's tonight. Hey - it's the weekend and I've been trapped in New York working for the last 36 hours! I'll get back to the low-carb, make-me-feel-good, lower-my-cholesterol, (not to mention) lose-some-weight diet tomorrow! I deserve this break so get off my back!
Oh - sorry! Lost it for a minute there...
Anyway, Dave was placing the order and decided to order a medium sized dessert pizza so that we could all have some. Isn't he nice? It got here and I was frightened by the appearance but I was brave and tried some. This thing REALLY needs a big dose of some really coarse sugar to coat the top of it and then it might be good. But for now, we're just delighted that we have so many leftovers! Maybe the birds will like it...

I also took a break from my "normal" eating routine this weekend at DR in NY. Remember there was turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes (and you didn't want any of it?) Well, I had 2 really big helpings of all 3. I usually pour way too much salt (no, not sugar) on everything. I couldn't find any salt so I poured extra gravy on the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. I ate way too much and I hadn't been that full in a long time. I was actually pretty uncomfortable while we were all working together in that room. It was fun though because Dave was cracking me up. I still think he should try being a stand-up comic.
