That's one for the insolent insects. By late afternoon, when not a single bluebird had shown the slightest interest in these little crawly things, I went out and released them into the grass at the edge of the trees. They didn't run away. They gloated. I think I saw one of them raise a tiny little middle finger to me. Curse their oily hides!
