SLEEPY

(Title Credit: Grey Eye Glances / Painted Pictures / 1998)

There are several songs going through my head just now. It’s a real cacophony of sounds that even I am having trouble sorting out. I'm sure that it's so loud that I'm bothering the neighbors. We just got done with our Easter dinner (our house but only 17 people this time) and the overwhelming theme in my head is from that song “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late” by Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams. Ya know – yes, it’s over, call it a day? Weaving its way through the strains of that tune (which I wish would take a hike, by the way) is Grey Eye Glances singing “Sleepy”, ‘cause I have to tell you that’s what I am. Then there is some weird whirling circus tune that I’m sure is just my brain telling me that I’ve gone too long without a drink. I’m going to fix that. Dave bought me a very large bottle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Maker’s Mark. Yes, please! What's that? Either one, thanks! I am aiming to try and kill some of the pain that’s coursing through my body right now (I’m just not good at being on my feet all day) and have a little fun to boot. So you’ll excuse me while I go get blasted, yes? Ta!

Did I mention how much of a crush I have on Neil Finn's voice?
