Does this happen only to me?
My very good friend, Jeff, told me one day that he and his wife, Kelly, had just listened to the new Five for Fighting CD, "America Town", the night before. He said it was pretty damn good. I had heard “Easy Tonight” up to that point, and I liked it a lot, but that was all I knew. I had access to download some “evaluation” copies of MP3s at the time, so I took a listen to several of the other songs from that album. I enjoyed them a lot and decided to purchase the album. (See? Downloading MP3s does not necessarily detract from record sales!) The day I got the album, I listened to it twice. I liked it a lot. The next day, I went to take it with me to work and it was gone. The case was there, but the CD was gone. This happens to me all the time! There is some swirling vortex roaming through my house randomly picking up my favorite CDs and delivering them to other places in the house where I would never, ever think to go look for them. Oh, yes, I always find them some day – it’s probably been about a year since I lost “America Town” but I did find it a few days ago. Now, where the heck are all of my Dave Matthews CDs??
(There ya go, Jeff. It’s your shout out! Enjoy it, my friend.)
